Automotive Intergroup
The Interregional Group on the Future of the Automotive Industry in our Territories was founded in 2009 to address the problems affecting the automotive industry. Nowadays, the aim of the Automotive Intergroup has evolved to defend the interests of the territories with an important automotive industry, and to find common solutions to the challenges they face.
Currently, the Automotive Intergroup counts 50 members of the Committee of the Regions, plus 5 external observers, from Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, and United Kingdom.
Since December 2015, Mr Ximo Puig, President of Comunidad Valenciana, holds the Presidency of the Intergroup.
The Automotive Intergroup gives its members the opportunity to exchange best practices and to communicate with the European institutions, while fostering contacts among the industrial associations of the different participating regions.
